Dungeon Crawl Classics Arrived Today

To quote Gurney Halleck from Dune, "Gods, what a monster!"

I gave my first impressions as to the content when I got my hands on the pdf, but now that I have the physical hard copy in my hand, it's... BIG. Has the heft and feel of a high school biology book. The glossy cover doesn't hurt that impression any, either.

I really hope someone is going to run this at Dexcon this July. I'd love to take it for a spin from the player's point of view.

Everyone seems to have gotten their copies except me ...

That's what you get for living in the Great White North.

I just got mine on Tuesday. It is surprisingly light on rules relative to its thickness. There were what, 3 or 4 pages on skills?

I haven't gotten mine either ;(. But I have a huge stack of OSR stuff to go through to tide me over anyway.

About 180 pages are spent on spell descriptions-- each spell needs a couple of pages.

But yeah, the 4 page chapter on skills was a bit odd. Like it could have been folded into some other chapter.
